A TEXT POST

In case anyone was wondering why I haven’t updated since July, it’s not because I haven’t drawn anything.

It’s because I’ve been working on this:

Updates weekly on fridays until it doesn’t.

I drew this in my hotel room while I was on a work trip to meet one of our suppliers. I ended up giving it to our sales rep.
Drawn on a roughly 3x5 scrap of paper with slicci pen.

The local fredericton record store commissioned me to do some prints up for their 25th anniversary and such. These are them. They’ve been done for a while but I didn’t want to post them until they officially announced the event in case I ended up leaking this privileged information before the public was ready.
Enjoy.

This is an old piece I never had a proper photograph of until now. Probably dates back to 2011.
This turned out fairly wacky. I’m pretty happy with it.

Done on a 16x20 illustration board with Micron pens.

This is a piece I’ve worked on on-and-off over the course of over a year. Sometimes I would work on it for 10 hours in one week, other times I would go up to a month without touching it. I feel relatively confident in saying that it’s done now. I’m thinking of probably making some prints of it someday.

A few years ago, my boss decided he wanted to sell copic markers online. I decided the best way to advertise them was to make an illustration for every colour of copic, as well as a story for each illustration. The site was kind of a bust, but you can find all the illustrations and stories here:

H
opefully someone gets a kick out of these.

Also, there are some microns there as well.

These took quite a while to do, they’re each on a piece of 10x27 illustration board, and it didn’t help that the copy shop took forever to get digital files to me. But, finally, here they are, in all their “glory”. Enjoy!

Found an old picture of this, a portrait of an old friend. Seeing how much work I put into this thing almost makes me want to work in pencil again.
Almost.
